|TREAT AVENUE ADDITION, 2008
SAN FRANCISCO, CA
A three-level, 800 sq.ft. contemporary addition onto the rear of an existing Mission Revival home in San Francisco provides larger living spaces for two condominium units. Each addition is organized so that the kitchen, living and dining rooms occupy a large, open, light-filled space. The addition opens out to a lush garden, framed by large windows and French doors. A new deck extends off of each unit, merging the indoor space with the outdoors. Sandblasted glass and steel canopies provide shade at each of the entries. A steel and wood stair with open risers extends along the southern face of the addition and preserves the views from the interior spaces.
